LIGHT NIGHT SEASON
Location: Nostell Priory meet every Monday evening in car park at 5.45pm for training in the grounds 6pm-7pm. Last evening meeting is the 4th September 2017 and is a fuddle and a free event with fun and games.
Under 9's train with Coaches on the grass. Older children are Coached and supervised running around the Nostell Estate.
Autumn and Winter : 11th September 2017 until 14th May 2018.
DARK NIGHT SEASON
Location: Ackworth School Sports Hall,WF7 7LT through the school gates and down to the bottom car park. Meet 5.15pm for 5.30pm start. This is usually for children in the age range 4 - 9 years.
Running Track session from 11th September 2017 start at 7.00pm.This involves training on a fulll size athletics track at Thornes Park Wakefield WF2 8TY. Usual age range is 9 years upwards.

What do we do
Sessions for the younger children include a warm up, a series of games designed around UK Athletics 360 program for Run, Jump, and Throw disciplines, and finally a warm down with stretching.
Track sessions for the older children are different, they are purely running - still with warm ups and down, and stretching. More concentrated work to improve technique, speed, stamina and strength
What does it cost
Each local school training session lasts one hour at a cost of £2:50 per child, and is payable to the Juniors Admin Leader.
The track session costs £3.50 per child and is payable to the Juniors Chief Coach.
Club membership is £10:00 per year and enables the children to be members of the Ackworth Road Runners.
Children can obtain an English Athletics card when they are at the appropriate age for £14 per year extra cost.
This allows them to compete in UK/A races at U13 level upwards.
