Grand Prix 2012

 Awards

Trophies are presented at the Club's Annual Awards Dinner to the Winner, Runner-up and Third placed in each league. The winner of the Open League also holds the 'Ryder-Thorpe Memorial Shield' for a year and the winner of the Ladies Open League, the 'Betty Goodwin Memorial Shield'.

 The Series

This is the club's premier event and is designed to encourage members to participate in nominated races over various distances throughout the year. All members are automatically included in the league tables, even if the join the club part-way through the year. The competition is divided into 4 leagues to cater for both males and females and age differences.

This Year's Races

This year's format remain the same with 13 races to choose from (one had to be added due to the clash between Dewsbury & Norton) and the best 10 scores to count. There will not be any of the club handicap runs included, however, as we have a new competition to cover all 4 handicap events.

We have included some 'new' races and have 'dropped' others, mainly due to dates clashing with other events. Races for the first 5 months are confirmed, those for the rest of the year are provisional, at present.
